Whilst the 0845 telephone numbers do remain operational, JobSeekers Allowance | JSA have started taking steps to change all official correspondence so that they reflect the new and potentially cheaper 0345 telephone service.

My son has been out of work or some months. Is he entitled to claim job seekers allowance and if so, what paperwork does he need? He was working on a 0 hour contract job.
Hi Gilly, he should make an application to JSA and he will then be assessed based on his hours/income. If he worked previoulsy for the last two tax years he may be entitled to and should call for contribution based jobseekers allowance
I have just put in a new claim for jobseekers allowance and cannot wait until the claim is cleared.
