Email Address to contact DWP
Throughout our comments sections people are asking if it is possible to contact benefit sections like jobseekers Allowance, Employment Support allowance and Income support at the DWP by email.
The answer is Yes and No…. the DWP do not offer claimants the option of corresponding by email at the moment however it is possible to send a direct email to the manager of the Benefit Centre dealing with your application.
The DWP use a standard method of assigning email addresses to staff and as such if you know the first and 2nd name of a member of staff you can send them and email directly!
Please note that they are very unlikely to respond by email due to the data protection act but if you include your telephone number or enough information about your complaint to enable them to investigate and call you back then we have found that they will.
All DWP email address end with: @dwp.gsi.gov.uk and start with the 1st name then a ( . ) and the surname of the officer. As an example a manager called John Smith will have the email address [email protected].
So all you have to do is look at one of the letters sent to you by either the jobcentre or benefit section dealing with your claim and find the 1st named officer to guess an email address that will get you through.

hello i have a problem i was diagnosed with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and depression in late-2006 early-2007 suffered 3 minor heart attacks and a minor stroke and haven’t worked since. iv tryed signing on at job centre which got me no where as they was worried about finding me a job which could possibly make my situation worse and i take them to court and they tryed so hard to get me to lie about my health so i could get a job which then would leave me liable for lying and then i could be prosecuted for lying.Than i was told to apply for pip so i applied for pip and denied as a failed my assessment on the grounds i didn’t loose my temper and the fact i can move my arms and legs and can bend over and touch my toes which has left me with no income what so ever as put more pressure on my self and my family and i would like to no if this issue can be resolved
I sent my sink note off was meant to get paid on Monday but nothing in my bank could you please contact me as I have no money to ring you and job center is miles away to far to walk my name is Christopher polwarth
Will esa ring me if I email them
My mothers registered carer ( who is also her neighbour)informed her on Sunday that she was no longer going to care for her. She said her carers allowance stopped last Friday. As she has been less than truthful, can my mother report that her care has ceased in case she is still being paid the allowance? I know the carer themselves can report a change in circumstances, but can my mother do it and if so how does she confirm the cessation of her care? Thank you
