Whilst the 0845 telephone numbers do remain operational, Employment And Support Allowance (ESA) have started taking steps to change all official correspondence so that they reflect the new and potentially cheaper telephone service.

Hi my name is (name removed) i phoned up the ESA on Friday John the man who i talk to was suppose to phone me back on Monday to sort out my claim that got stop on the 8th of this month when sick note didnt finish until 25th of this month i cant phone as iv got no money on my phone need a member of the team to phone me back on mobile (telephone number hidden) asap please
The people commenting need to learn how to spell, the automated service is a joke so is the entire job centre service and people who work for jobcentre are lying scumbags evil despicable people who enjoy the suffering of others, I hope the human race is wiped out entirely, fed up of existance, sick of the state of the world and the idiocy and lack of humanity from every so called human on this planet, the governments are a joke, and so is humanity, the biggest joke of all is so called society
I have been awarded esa but have only had one payment into my bank, not the back pay. How can I find out when this will be paid.
My old sick note runs out on 21/07/2016, so I posted my new sick note for esa on the 13/07/2016. Spoke to one of your colleagues at the start of the week and was told they had not received my new sick note yet. So I need to know either way if you have it or not, so I will have to get a duplicate sick note. Please let me know asap, thanks mr jones.

The service from ESA is abysmal. First of all it is a 0345 number which isn’t free. I am no longer on ESA but I know that when I was it was £72 a week. Considering it takes on average about 20 mins to get through – I honestly think it’s atrocious that the government can’t provide an 0800 number – or is this another way of taking money back from those that can’t afford it. If you can;t afford to phone – we cut off your ESA because you haven’t contacted us??!!! today I am trying to get in contact with my change of circumstances information – however, if you don;t want it then it’s no skin off my nose as payments stopped ages ago due to my going onto bereavement allowance! Really – as a service to those who are in a situation healthwise and financially- the service stinks! You need to a) answer your phones – if you were a private company you’be bust answering 20 mins into a call! – and at least have the decency to realise the financial situation of those that are using your services and provide a phone service they can afford and not a 0345 number! DISGUSTING SERVICE – that preys on those that use it!
My claim runs from 1st July, today is 12th July and yet I’ve only been paid £73.10 (a weeks money) why is this,,,, anyone?
